Tribute to You Tubers What We Do

On May 25th 2011 You Tube received 3 billion hits in one day. I heard that would be equivalent to every one in the USA watching 9 videos. Now how is this possible this isn’t Hollywood it’s real. Take a bow Tubers for it’s your trigger finger on the camera that makes this viewing so interesting. I don’t know about you but I find myself watching more of You Tube than TV and find many uploaded shows on here that I always enjoined watching.

Proving yet again that it’s an unstoppable video juggernaut, YouTube announced today that it surpassed 3 billion daily page views this past weekend — a 50 percent increase over last year.

That’s a pretty good birthday present for the company, which launched six years ago in May 2005. On its fifth birthday last year, the company announced that it had hit 2 billion daily views, which was just six months after it hit 1 billion daily views.

With the rise of 4G networks and faster smartphones this year, I suspect YouTube will hit 4 billion daily views before its next birthday.

YouTube users are also now uploading more than 48 hours worth of video to the site every minute — that’s double the amount from this time last year and a 37 percent increase over the last six months. So not only has YouTube managed to get people lazily watching videos, contribution continues to grow as well. The company touts upgrades like expanding its maximum video length (effectively making it unlimited), and decreasing the processing time of videos, as a reason for the phenomenal growth.

The Tubers got talent, just need the speed.

Happy Birthday Tubers Billions Served
